Zachary R. Murphy, 29 of Harrisburg entered this life with a heavy burden of Cystic Fibrosis and passed away peacefully on Sunday at Harrisburg Hospital.
He enjoyed art, baseball and football, collecting baseball and sports memorabilia, and was a self taught guitar player. Zachary also owned classic cars from the 1960's and enjoyed tattoo art. He was known for making everyone laugh even though he struggled with his disease.
Surviving are his parents, John and Sheryl Murphy; a brother, Bryon Murphy; a grandfather, Nelson Lay; his aunts and uncles, Vivian and Blaine Stoner and their children, Cassandra Briseno and daughter Odessa, Nathan Stoner and his wife Candy and their children, Blaine and Nicolette, Linda and Edward Cassel and their children, Brett, Patricia, Edward, Mark and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 6-7PM at Dailey Funeral Home, Penbrook.
Services will begin at 7PM on Friday.
Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 55 S. Progress Ave Harrisburg PA 17109.
