Mrs. Evelyn T. Ravago, 84, of Harrisburg died peacefully in her home on Saturday morning, Jan 2, 2010.
Mrs. Ravago was a survivor of World War II in the Philippines, the country of her birth. In the 1950's, she migrated to the Harrisburg area. She was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish serving as a volunteer on many committees. She was a current member of St. Catherine Laboure Parish and served on the board of the Aurora Club. She enjoyed serving as a nurse in the Philippines, as well as, Holy Spirit Hospital in the women's ward.
Surviving are her sisters Minda & Aurora; her children: Gilbert, Mark, Yvonne, David, Albert, Cyrus, Raymond and Ellie;10 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Also left behind are Meeko, the cat, and her beloved Spaniels, Patches & Jazz.
Viewing will be on Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Dailey Funeral Home from 6-8PM.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday,10:30AM at St. Catherine Laboure.
Burial will be at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
