MassicGeneva May (Knelly) Massic, 94 of Harrisburg died peacefully on Saturday morning surrounded by her family at the Jewish Home of Greater Harrisburg.
Born in Nescopeck, PA, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Ellie May (Birth) Knelly.
She graduated from Mansfield State Teachers College.
She was married to the late George Massic for 65 years.
She was a long time resident of Berwick, Pa.
Geneva was a retired art and home economics teacher with the Bloomsburg School District.
She was a member of the Colonial Park United Church of Christ.
Surviving are her oldest son Charles and Nancy Massic and their children: Kathryn and Scott Acken and Deb and Ryan Davis, middle son Robert and Betsy Massic and their son Robert Massic, Jr.,and their son Matt Massic and their daughter Maria and Steve Williams; and a daughter, Suzanne Hess-Becker and her children Cameron and Tina Hess and Mike and Beth Hess ; a sister, Martha Parr; a niece, Carol and Mike Lyons
A viewing will be held on Thursday from 9-10AM at the Colonial Park United Church of Christ 5000 Devonshire Rd. Harrisburg PA.
Services will begin at 10:30AM on Thursday with the Rev. Dr. Bonita J. Zobeck officiating.
Burial will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the PA Association for the Blind, 555 Gettysburg Pike, Suite A300, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055 and the U.C.C. Colonial Park United Church of Christ.
