Louis A. Boscardin, 84 of Mechanicsburg died peacefully after a long battle with Parkinson's disease on Tuesday morning at Messiah Village.
Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Genevieve (Batalini) Boscardin.
Louis was a retired supervisor from General Motors in West Mifflin and was U.S. Army veteran of WWII.
He was an avid golfer, consummate fixer upper, a devote Pittsburgh Steelers fan, enjoyed reading, and loved his grandchildren.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church.
Surviving is his wife, Armeda (Angaran) Boscardin, 2 sons; Michael and John; 2 daughters, Cathy Appleby and Mary Lou Colarossi; and seven grandchildren.
Viewing will be on Friday, January 29, 2010 from 10-11AM in his church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11AM in his church with Rev. Richard P. Waldron as celebrant.
Burial will be on Monday at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Messiah Village 100 Mt. Allen Dr. Mechanicsburg PA 17055.
