Many families ask us “May we write the obituary for the newspaper?” The answer of course is “yes” for our local newspaper called The Patriot. forryDiane M. (Goldsmith) Forry, 58 of Susquehanna Township died peacefully at home on February 14, 2010.
Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Marlin Forry, Sr. and Beverly (Gearhart) Forry.
She was a graduate of the PA School for the Deaf in 1969 and worked for the PA Dept. of Transportation.
Diane was a loving and giving person who enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, and cats.
She was a member of the Greater Harrisburg Assn. of the Deaf and contributed generously to the Harrisburg Humane Society.
Surviving is her son, Jonathan; a brother, Marlin Forry, Jr. and a sister, Linda Webster.
Viewing will be held on Friday from 10-11AM at the Dailey Funeral Home, Penbrook.
Services will begin at 11AM at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Shoop's Garden of Rest Cemetery.
Memorial Contributions may be made in her memory to the Humane Society of Harrisburg 7790 Grayson Rd. Harrisburg PA 17111.
