Ruth E. Zugay, 92 formerly of Herr St., Harrisburg passed away on Friday, February 19, 2010 at Manor Care of Carlisle surrounded by her family.
Ruth was born in Harrisburg on December 27, 1917. She was the daughter of Earl G. Mader and RoseMary (Burkey) Mader.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, John F., a son Edward, and a brother, Paul Mader.
She was a charter member of St. Margaret Mary Church in Penbrook.
Ruth was a homemaker, a past paper route manager and newspaper carrier for many years for the Patriot News Company.
She is survived by 3 sons; John E. and wife Barbara of Parsippany, NJ, Michael L. and wife Lois of Apex, NC, and David J. of Shermansdale, PA; a daughter, Barbara Owens and husband, Ralph of Hummelstown; 14 grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 11AM at St. Margaret Mary Church.
Viewing will be from 10-11AM at St. Margaret Mary Church on Thursday.
Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made her memory to St. Margaret Mary Building Fund 2826 Herr St. Harrisburg PA 17103.
