Many families ask us “May we write the obituary for the newspaper?” The
answer of course is “yes” for our local newspaper called The Patriot. To
help you along with the process of writing your loved one's obituary, we
have included some with you for the arrangement conference
with one of our directors. See helpful tips to the right. »
Our beloved mother, and grandparent, Violet J. Zicarelli, passed away gracefully on Friday, March 26, 2010, surrounded by her loving family and close friends. Born in Steelton, PA on June 17, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Morris Mauro and Mary (LaVia) Mauro and beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Zicarelli.
She was a faithful member of St. Catherine Laboure Parish and its Coffee Club, and enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casino, and playing instant lottery tickets. She was a gregarious, generous, loving, and funny human being who spent most of the time just being happy and sharing her light with others. Her favorite place to be was with her family, and she will be deeply missed.
Surviving are her three loving children, Linda M. Zicarelli, Thomas J. Zicarelli (Barbara), and Jane M. Zicarelli-Knaub (Thomas); four grandchildren, Stacy A. Zicarelli (Brent), Joseph E. Zicarelli (Tricia), Damon J. Miller (Tara), and Laura E. Zicarelli; six great-grandchildren, Alexis M. Mandalino, Madeline V. Zicarelli, Grace E. Zicarelli, Emerson Zicarelli Colflesh, Carmella A.
