Many families ask us “May we write the obituary for the newspaper?” The answer of course is “yes” for our local newspaper called The Patriot. scarangellaElizabeth M. Scarangella, 87 of Harrisburg died peacefully surrounded by her family on July 5, 2010 at the Golden Living Center, Camp Hill.
She was retired from the PA Labor and Industry and was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and was very active in the Perpetual Adoration.
She was preceded in death by her husbands; Harry Ray and Louis Scarangella; a son, Donald Ray, and a daughter, Doris Ray Black.
Surviving are her 4 daughters; Kathleen Otzel, Janet Getty, Suzanne Elicker, and Elizabeth Theresa (Terry) Davis; 2 sisters; Catherine Mastradone and Sister Marie deLourdes; 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 9, 2010 at 11AM at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church 2800 Paxton Church Rd. Harrisburg PA.
Visitation will be from 10-11AM on Friday at the church.
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ASERA Care Hospice 75 S. Houcks Rd. Suite 101 Harrisburg PA 17109 or to a charity of one's choosing.
