Philip Joseph Spagnolo, Sr. 90 of Harrisburg died peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 at the Golden Living Center, Camp Hill. Born in Mammola, Italy, he was the son of the late Nicodemo and Immaculata (Muia) Spagnolo. Phil immigrated to the United States at the age of eight, and graduated from John Harris High School. He served our country in WWII in the U.S. Army, and studied to become an architect . Phil worked for Lappley Architect and then worked as a self employed architect. He was predeceased by his wife, Thelma Spagnolo; his sisters, Rosalia Bianchi, Angela Bianchi, and brother, Carmen Spagnolo all of Harrisburg. Surviving is his son, Philip Joseph Spagnolo, Jr. of Harrisburg and many loving nieces and nephews. Vieiwngs will be on Sunday, July 31, 2011 from 6-8PM at the Dailey Funeral Home, Penbrook, and on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 9:30-10:30AM at the funeral home. Service will begin at 10:30AM on Monday. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
